How Frameless Interior Doors Work

Framelees Interior Doors work with 2 kind of systems:
1) Pivot Hinges which are fastened at the top and bottom corners of the door.  They connect to the header and the floor.  It is a nice system but not the most common type of installation of Frameless Doors.
2) Hidden Hinges are more common and are attached in the same locations that you would normally find regular butt hinges.  These hinges are generally 3-D adjustable and work well with most door sizes and thicknesses.

The frame is always invisible once mudded into the wall with drywall compound.  The door and wall will be painted in the same colour to give the impression that the wall continues and the door is almost hidden.
